Below are the timelines and legal requirements for the District’s Board of Directors Elections:

The next Board Election for Frisco West WCIDDC will be held in 2026.

Frisco West WCIDDC has a board of five Directors, who are elected by the registered voters within the boundaries of that District.

Election Date: May 2, 2026.

First day to file for a place on General Election Ballot: Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Last day to file for a place on General Election Ballot: Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Official Notice and Order Calling Election will be posted here when they become available.

The location(s) of the election will be posted upon determination.

Eligibility Requirements For Director:

To be eligible to be a candidate for, or elected or appointed as, a Director, a person must:

1. Be a United States citizen;

2. Be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment, as applicable

3. Have not been determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be:

  • totally mentally incapacitated; or
  • partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote;

4. Have not been finally convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities;

5. Be a resident citizen of the State of Texas, and either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter within the District.
